Great opportunity for LEARN’s Online Students!!

Students of all ages are invited to have their voice heard by submitting a project telling everyone how they use Social Media for learning both inside and outside of the classroom.

There are different categories from Elementary School through Adult and Vocational Education, CEGEP and University. The best entry in each category can win an iPad mini!

Conference participants, including your online teachers, will have the opportunity to vote on the best submissions to determine the prize winners. Online students are invited to participate.

Zenlive Update: version v3.8.146
A new look and improved functionality.
Important changes for student/participant interface:

1. The Zenlive icons and colours have been given a facelift. The icons are still all in the same place that you are used to seeing them in.
2. Faster overall connection and component starts.
3. Online Documents, including recordings, are accessible from within the room by clicking on Options>My Online Documents.
4. Whiteboard now scales with the presentation to keep annotations in place.
5. Presentation drawing area is now aligned with the presentation views at all times.
6. Presentation display area is now only showing one page at a time.
7. New, easier to manipulate, private chat windows.
8. Faster Configuration Wizard.
9. Updated recorders.

• SAKAI portal
• Zimbra e-mail
• e-Pearl digital portfolio

While students are in their last week of vacation, LEARN teachers are busy at work getting everything ready to welcome students online for the 2013-2014 school year!

After three days of professional learning, inspiration, and reflection together, I can tell you that the LEARN online learning team is looking forward to a fantastic year of learning with our new and returning students.
